More weapon skins for classes OTHER than warriors?
Okay, well, not to sound like an annoying bugger, but it seems to me that everytime a surprise "popcorn" weapon gets added to the game, its a WARRIOR attribute weapon. Take for example 2 yrs ago before the first wintersday... the IDS was the only specialty, and only effective in use by warriors (because its a sword duh).
But, that was two years ago, you may ask "why is this idiot talking about it now?" -I'm getting there.
Recently, whether you know it or not, Anet added another specialty sword to the game: The Eternal Sword, only available at the reward chest at the end of UW.
This, and skin exclusions from newer classes has ticked me off. I thought we were done with seeing this kind of thing but they did it again. Some common examples of of absent skins are:
-ghostly/shadow daggers
-Ghostly scythes (there are shadow though...)
-Shadow/ghostly spears
-chaos EVERYTHING
-Eternal stuff (as I mentioned)
What annoys me about this is the fact that EOTN introduced over THIRTY new sword skins... Guess how many new scythe skins got introduced? TWELVE according to guildwiki.
and dont forget, warriors also had many new shields added with EOTN.
Anet should know that there are so many sword/axe/hammer/shield skins already its rediculous, but they're still adding more than double to the already saturated list, as opposed to the newer class weapons that had few skins to begin with!
Please sign basically if you think anet should put more effort into more skins for the newer class weapons and caster weapons, and try to make older skins of the newer weapons (ex. a ghostly scythe).
I know that they have so much going into gw2 right now, but this is one of the things that will turn me away from it if this kind of obvious preference bleeds over into gw2 thanks!

It's a preference because Warrior weapons are most prominent. Staves, wands, daggers, etc are all rather obscure in their look. Shields and Swords, axes, hammers are large, up-front, and easy to see. Scythes....isn't much you can do with a stick and a curved blade to make it stand out from the others. Saurian scythe...yuck.

some very nice examples placebo, but the ratio speaks for itself 30+ to 12
(and dont forget, because dervs, paras, and sins got a late start, they had less skins to choose from in the 1st place)
Warriors got MANY more nice skins, as opposed to one or two for the other classes. And in terms of destroyer weps, every class has one, one of the reasons I was happy with that, same with the tormented weps.
The fact remains that anet could easily make a ghostly scythe/daggers, and stick them in the end chest of UW, or as a normal drop. I asked about this kind of thing when factions first came out, but to no avail.
And to the other guy...
asthetics are the only thing anyone in gw cares about nowadays
ppl farm titles to have a piece of text under their name that lets ppl know they're "Very Important," ppl get obsidian armor cause its high end, ppl get rare/new weapon skins to keep up with fashion trends, its sad I know

Warriors are ArenaNet's official Ken Dolls when it comes to accessories. That's just how they roll.

Never had problems with staff skins or scythes, dono, I jsut never notice the while I rape at pve. But when I play on my warrior Hell I need a good sword / axe skin ealse I hate him! :P I guess they could still add few more skins, as I see there arent many staff skins.

Warriors are over accessorised, derveshes are over powered
I'd rather be over powered than over kitted but refuse to play the two fake melee classes.
Point is not everything in the game can be split exactly for each proffesion

But as a warrior personally a big fat super /NOT SIGNED i love the things they put on warriors. Not to sound pregidist against other classes though

I understand what you are saying, but when you look at it... there are a lot more wars in GW then any other profession. Thus, spending time on making new war weapons will make a large amount of people happy.

The problem is that it´s very hard to make a good looking spear, dagger or staff/wand. Very hard. It's really easy to give a sword or axe a really epic look.

do spears , wands and bows etc have to look like that anyways.
the problem is more the base model meshes rather than weaponry imo.

There isn't much you can do with a scythe!? Its made of two sticks. A sword is only made of one.

The sword is made of a handle, blade and pommel. That blade is very prominent. A scythe blade isn't as prominent without running into clipping issues with the attack animations. sure it could be better, but swords are just the bread and butter of fantasy stories/rpg's.
